Since it was all about accentuating the food display, we decided to kick things off by elegantly dressing up our table. Thus, we have draped a pristine white linen tablecloth over the table and layered a shimmering green embroidered organza overlay on top to gracefully infuse the symbolic holiday color into our decor. Considering the dazzling accents and decorations we had in mind for our St. Patrick’s Day backdrop and table, this combination of linens worked beautifully as the base.

Tabletop Decor

As soon as the linens were in place, we moved on to the most exciting part— the tabletop decorations. Since no St. Patrick’s Day dessert table decor can be complete without the shape that makes everyone think of Ireland, we decided to get a little creative with our showpieces and shaped some green and gold foil fringe garlands into glittering shamrocks. Moreover, we also snaked down a couple of lush green cloverleaf garlands along the middle of the table that added a lovely fresh charm to the table.

Table Backdrop

Everyone knows that a great table setup should have a backdrop to help draw more attention to the table and elevate the visual aesthetics tenfold. Thus, we decided to spruce up the background wall using white foam tiles, shimmering green metallic foil fringe curtains, and a whole lot of balloons. We have creatively arranged the shiny metallic gold mylar letter balloons over the green fringe curtain creating a holiday-appropriate banner and placed a green shamrock-shaped foil balloon right in the middle to bring in the luck of the Irish.
